Ask and it will be given to you;

Lord, I need patience...now!!

Matthew 7:7-12
Jesus said to his disciples:  "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.  Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asked for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asked for a fish?  If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.

"Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.  This is the law and the prophets."

Ask and it will be given to you;

Lord,
I love you and I ask you every day to bring J back to your grace.  I know you want it too and it has to be your will.  Lord, give me the patience to wait.

I have to remember that you want to give me good things, things that are good for me, things that will bring me closer to you.  And I know that those things have a time and a place.  I know these things, I believe these things, yet I am impatient for these things.  Lord, impatience is probably my number one fault, the worst thing that steals my peace these days and yet I hold on to it.  I allow it to control me, my daily life.

Lord, I know you've already given it to me, help me accept it and use it for my own well being.
